Our client, a leading food manufacturer with growth ambition, is recruiting a Head of Corporate Development. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the senior leadership team, you will have responsibility for planning and executing business development projects to achieve strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include: Identifying development opportunities in line with business strategy, including M&A, market, category and product expansion and the development of strategic partnerships; Developing business models and cases to critically analyse opportunities and present at Board level; Assessing and recommending corporate finance options to the business; Ensuring the Board and all other relevant parties are effectively managed and informed as projects progress.
To apply, you are likely to be a Qualified Accountant or MBA with strong experience in strategic planning and execution, including M&A activity. You will have significant experience at senior management level, including exposure to manufacturing. Creative and commercially astute, you must have the ability to align corporate strategy with market opportunities, and the desire to operate at a detailed level. Likely to be in a corporate development role in a commercial business or working in a specialist corporate finance team, you will thrive in an environment that offers high levels of autonomy and depends on strong communication skills at Board level and across a range of third parties.
The role requires an average of two days per week away from home.
