Our client, a dynamic global beauty group with an innovative brand and product range, is recruiting a General Manager for the UK business. Reporting to the General Manager Europe and part of the European leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a small sales and marketing team to deliver growth across a wide range of retail channels including Health & Beauty retailers, Grocers, Ecommerce and Fashion.
Key responsibilities include: Developing long-term senior relationships with the major retailers in H&B, Grocery, Fashion and High Street, whilst building and maintaining other retail channels; Leading and motivating a small sales and marketing team to develop and implement commercial strategy across the UK market; Working with international colleagues to ensure re-branding and other marketing initiatives maximise growth opportunities; Contributing to strategic and commercial decision-making as part of the senior leadership team to deliver performance objectives for the region.
To apply, you must have a proven record in cosmetics or personal care, of developing and managing strategic relationships with major Health & Beauty and Grocery retailers, and preferably other retail channels in the UK. You will have strong experience of building, leading and developing sales or marketing teams to deliver key account management and new business across multiple channels. Capable of thinking strategically and delivering operationally, you will have a hands-on, transparent, structured approach and be looking to support the ambitious growth plans of a business with a strong global reputation.
