Connect recently appointed a SVP Sales & Marketing for global $multi-billion Ingredients group. A brief overview of this assignment is provided below.

THE BRIEF

To identify SVP Sales & Marketing for a division of a global $multi-billion Ingredients group with the ability and potential to become CEO. Previous sector experience and managing large and complex Sales, Marketing and Global Accounts teams, developing new revenue streams, and starting new divisions in new territories were must haves for this search assignment.

THE PROCESS

A number of high performing executives within Ingredients, Flavors and CPG groups with the required US (and international) experience, with a track record of delivering growth were identified and contacted. Connect Search combined a detailed search process utilizing our extensive network, to identify high performing VP’S and existing EVP’S in the appropriate sectors. A shortlist of outstanding US based executives was presented with 3 stand out candidates progressing through to final selection with the European based Global CEO.  

THE RESULT

The placement of a world class SVP from a global group with a process managed to ensure the candidate could start in the agreed timeline to make an immediate impact. The candidate was promoted to Senior EVP within the first year and is on track to become CEO within the agreed timescale, ensuring all initial assignment expectations have been met.
