The Brief
Recruitment of a Chief Financial Officer for Russia & CIS region for a global personal care group. The search required full confidentiality and a proven CFO with in-depth experience of Russia & CIS region, a track-record of working for Western European or US groups, and the ability to business partner a senior leadership team operating in an extremely challenging market.
The Process
Proven, experienced Chief Financial Officers based in Russia and Western Europe with strong consumer goods experience, and a record of operating cross-culturally, was identified as part of a long list. Each was assessed against core competencies, technical and cultural fit with the client, and those successful were presented on the shortlist along with a detailed report. Key to submission was the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives based across global markets, a robust approach to operating in tough market conditions, and an entrepreneurial approach that would fit with the unique culture of the group.
The Result
The successful individual, with an impressive record of working within the region and across Europe for renowned international consumer goods groups, was appointed and relocated back to the region from mainland Europe. A strong cultural fit and the knowledge and skills to thrive in the region have ensured immediate impact has been achieved.
